I’m part of the 57.6% of Arizona attorneys who feel stressed out practicing law and the 70.3% of Arizona attorneys for whom work stress carries over to their personal life. Part of this is related to the fact that there is no separation between my professional and personal lives, but also because I tend to be a workaholic. I hit a metaphorical wall last November.

It has been a year since I have reported on a state adopting the duty of technology competence for lawyers , but now there is another: Hawai?i, bringing the total number of states that have adopted the duty to 40. Effective Jan. 1, 2022, the state’s Rules of Professional Conduct were amended to revise Comment 6 to Rule 1.1 , pertaining to competence, to add the duty of technology competence.

With the nomination of Zsolt Ződi representing Hungary, the European Legal Technology Association was able to further consolidate its Ambassador network. Zsolt graduated as a lawyer in 1991. He then taught legal theory till 1995, when he left academia, and joined Wolters Kluwer.
