In his opinion , Judge John Heil, III stated that the plaintiffs asking for injunctive relief “failed to show a likelihood of success on the merits” of their multiple constitutional claims. The plaintiffs challenged the law, SB 613 , on several constitutional grounds.

The UK and U.S. Governments have now formalized the UK-U.S. Data Bridge. The U.S. Attorney General designated the UK as a “qualifying state” for the purposes of the Executive Order 14086 on September 18, 2023, and the UK regulations implementing the Data Bridge are scheduled to take effect on October 12, 2023. From October 12, 2023, the Data Bridge will therefore operate as an extension of the EU-U.S.

George Santos (R-N.Y.) was charged with 10 new criminal counts over accusations he inflated his campaign finance reports and charged donors’ credit cards without authorization. Santos pleaded not guilty in May to a 13-count indictment, and the new charges, unveiled Tuesday, bring the total to 23.
