WK logoWolters Kluwer CT Corporation is hosting a continuing legal education (CLE) event – “Attorney Roundtable: Due Diligence Trends” – that will feature expert insights from leading attorneys at firms such as Parsons Behle & Latimer, Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner, and Mayer Brown, on April 18 at 1 PM ET.

Panelists will discuss how recent case law and updates to the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) are poised to impact due diligence in 2023.

Dan Lias, Transactional Business Consultant at Wolters Kluwer CT Corporation, will moderate the panel, which is tasked with reviewing new case law stemming from 1944 Beach Boulevard, LLC v. Live Oak Banking Company and what it means for how law firms currently handle matters such as debtor naming and collateral descriptions. The panel will also examine the practical impact of revisions to Article 9 of the UCC stating that a representative of the secured party can appear on the UCC financing statement in lieu of the secured party, as well as the implications that a new Article 12 has for electronic ledgers and cryptocurrency.
