Kansas City-headquartered automated trademark docketing software provider Alt Legal today (3 August) announced that it has acquired the business of competitor TM Cloud.
As part of the transition, TM Cloud customers will move to Alt Legal’s docketing software, gaining access to Alt Legal’s USPTO and global docketing automation and integrated trademark monitoring.
Alt Legal said that it will provide an individualised migration process at no-cost. TM Cloud customers will also receive free, unlimited individual training sessions from Alt Legal’s customer support team.
US legal technology publication LawSites reports that following the acquisition, TM Cloud will shut down its docketing product and that CEO, Lucinda Stevenson, will not be joining Alt Legal. The co-founder of TM Cloud, Louis Stevenson, retired earlier this year.
Stevenson said in a statement out today: “Renowned for its customer-centric approach, Alt Legal will provide our customers with advanced automation and a commitment to innovation and an ever-evolving product. They will also be welcomed into the Alt Legal Community, a global network of thousands of trademark professionals eager to share knowledge and resources.”
