Kutana+Brochet hires Document Excellence Group chair to head customer experience

UK document lifecycle management vendor Kutana+Brochet has hired Angela Crossland as product and client services specialist, in a move intended to ensure that customer experience is put at the forefront of the now combined company’s projects.

Crossland was previously customer success manager at BigHand, and is the chair of the Document Excellence Group, a user group set up in 2004 to develop best practice across the document lifecycle. She has worked in the legal sector for over two decades, including roles as an IT trainer at Allen & Overy; a service management analyst at Clifford Chance; business process analyst at Browne Jacobson; and consultant/product manager at Microsystems/Litera Microsystems.

Crossland starts in her new role today (10 July) and speaking to Legal IT Insider, Kutana+Brochet director Rob Simcock said: “Angela is very knowledgeable in Microsoft Office (now 365) and templates. She will be making sure that projects are delivered to plan and that we are getting customer experience scoped out at the front.”

He added: “She will be involved at the start of projects and in delivering them, acting as an interface between our developers and law firm customers.”

Kutana, a print software vendor, in 2022 acquired a major share in document template provider Brochet, and the companies are now operating as one, with customers including UK top 25 law firms Bird & Bird, Womble Bond Dickinson and Fieldfisher.

Crossland told Legal IT Insider: “Having known the Kutana and Brochet teams for many years, and seen how they have come together, it’s great to be a part of their continued evolution.  I’m looking forward to contributing my understanding of the challenges faced within the document lifecycle, to help deliver a service that provides real benefits.”
