The keen eyed among you have spotted a double hire for Fulcrum GT in the past few weeks, one in the US and one UK. The Chicago-headquartered ERP has hired Ryan Steadman as senior client partner in New York, while Tom Pearson joins Fulcrum in London as manager – client partnerships and alliances.
Steadman has worked in the legal sector for two decades, including VP of sales for UK & EMEA at Billback Systems, followed by a stint as a key account director at Thomson Reuters. He has worked in TR’s go-to-market team and also for ZERO Systems as chief revenue officer.
Commenting on the first few weeks of his new role, Steadman told Legal IT Insider: “Within the first seventy two hours of joining Fulcrum the thing that hit me was the quality and expertise of the team. The people involved in the pre-sales cycle as well as implementation come from law firms, and that is astonishing to me. They are from the likes of Baker McKenzie, Reed Smith, and Ogletree Deakins. You could immediately see how they approach things with deeper and wider experience as well as more empathy because they have all sat in the same seat as the CFOs and law firms they are dealing with. There is also a terrific focus on DEI, which given my background with Legal Metrics really resonates.
“On the process side, processes are clean and transparent. The tech stack is contemporary, eco-system friendly, and true cloud, which is an essential and progressive differentiator for firms who have multi-decade strategic imperatives.”
Pearson, meanwhile, has joined Fulcrum GT in London as manager – client relationships and alliances after 13 years spent mostly in legal media at Legal Week, ALM and most recently Africa Legal.
On the back of Fulcrum’s client wins and go lives such as DLA Piper and Eversheds Sutherland, he’ll be developing customer accounts in both the US and UK across the full suite of Fulcrum products.
Pearson said: “Having known the Fulcrum brand, and team, for many years I am profoundly excited to join the business during this period of accelerated growth and expansion. I’ve been blown-away with the quality of the Fulcrum product suite and I’m already really enjoying playing a part in exploring how we can partner with more ambitious law firms to help them realise their long-term goals through taking a fresh approach to how they deploy, and use, technology.”
