It has been a big week for UK legal tech hire announcements, here are the ones we think you need to know about. Don’t forget to check out www.legaltechnology.com for the many others we have written about, including our interview with Lucy Shurwood, who has joined Simmons Solutions as a partner in Wavelength.

Daniel Ibrahim announced this week that he has joined Ascertus as strategic account manager. Ibrahim has in the past held roles at Kroll, Copitrak, Thomson Reuters Elite, NetDocuments and OnePlace, which was acquired by Intapp.

Copitrak rebranded as Nikec Solutions and former Nikec CEO Damian Jeal commented on LinkedIn: “11 years on and we are working together again! Great to have you on board.”

Joe Campbell has started a new position as practice lead, search & AI at Fireman & Company, an Epiq Company.

Campbell, who was previously senior product manager at iManage, said on LinkedIn: “Having worked with the team for many years, it will be an easy transition for me, and I will be hitting the ground running. Working with the best of the best in the industry is an exciting prospect, especially in this transformative era of AI-powered Search underpinned with structured data and knowledge. With Fireman & Company, an Epiq Company, we have an exceptional opportunity to grow and pioneer innovative solutions that address our client’s needs.”

Timothy Dawes is starting a new position as key account director for EMEA legal & professional services at Advanced. Dawes was previously a key account manager with LexisNexis Enterprise Solutions.

Also starting as a key account director for EMEA legal & professional services at Advanced is Craig Dootson, who was previously at cloud services partner M247.

Iain Brown has started a new position as head of MLS legal delivery at Pinsent Masons Vario, which provides freelance lawyers to clients. Brown was previously head of Ashurst Advanced Delivery Services.

Linklaters has appointed Lucy Murphy as its chief growth officer. Murphy was previously global chief marketing and communications officer at Allen & Overy, but before that was at Linklaters as global head of corporate marketing, so this is something of a return to the fold.

Commenting on Financial News’ announcement of Murphy’s hire, Dana Denis-Smith, founder and CEO of Obelisk Support, said: “Good to see the professionalising of the c-suite in legal – would love to see the JD for this role and what “growth” means in the magic circle.”
