Immigrant rights advocacy groups — Immigrant Arc, Make The Road NY, Win, New York Immigration Coalition, and others — gathered in City Hall Park on Thursday morning to demand that the New York City government allocate “at least $70 million” for legal services for asylum seekers. Senior U.S. District Judge P. Kevin Castel of the Southern District of New York said in a May 4 order the firm’s legal filing was “replete with citations to nonexistent cases.

Pittsburgh School of Law, US The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) sued Idaho Wednesday to prevent the enforcement of its law criminalizing doctors who provide gender-affirming care to minors. The lawsuit names Idaho Attorney General Raúl Labrador, the prosecuting attorney for a county in Idaho and members of the Idaho Code Commission as defendants.
