Top 15 UK accounting firm Saffery Champness to adopt 3E Cloud

Corrected on 20 June to show that Saffery Champness is swapping out APS Software from The Access Group.

Leading UK accounting firm Saffery Champness LLP is to move to 3E Cloud. We’re told that Saffery Champness is swapping out APS from Access Group.

Founded in 1855, Saffery Champness is currently the 15th largest accountancy firm in the UK by fee income, with a team of 85 partners and 10 offices in the UK and Ireland.

A move to the cloud was a key priority for the firm, as was consolidating a disparate legacy data infrastructure and automating several manual internal processes. Elite will support Saffery Champness with a fully managed service. Independent technology consultancy Jeremy Hyman Associates are long term advisers to Saffery Champness and continue to support them with the 3E project.

Saffery will be using Always-on Time recording, allowing passive time capture to improve its billable time and help it to ensure compliance with client billing arrangements and guidelines. As well as a streamlined billing process driven by new, user-friendly proforma templates, the open API architecture will allow 3E to connect to and integrate with the firm’s other key technologies in areas such as document management – Saffery is a NetDocuments customer.

“I have worked with 3E before and know well the breadth of its capabilities, which are even more impactful in the context of its evolution into a true cloud solution,” said Saffery’s IT director David Fazakerley.
